soon my permanent residents card will arrive. at that time i will be allowed to seek gainful employment.
good news for me, because the gov't here has kept me waiting a long, long time.
the dilemma is, what to do with my beags during the day. the idea of crating them while i am gone for the day, 5 days a week makes me cringe. i have a hard time trusting people i don't know with a key to my apt to walk my dogs. any suggestions? if i leave them free to roam the house i know they will tear stuff up. they've eaten every bed i've given them in the past year.

We have the same problem wtih our dogs too. We don't like to crate them & they too will destroy things when they get bored! Here's what we do.

We have three baby gates, (that you can buy fairly cheap), we close all the doors to the rooms & then use the baby gates to "rope off" a safe area. We leave them a few toys, a bowl of water & that's it. We remove EVERYTHING else from the safe area.

Hope this idea helps. Your other option is to hire a Dog sitter or Dog walker. If you go through a reputable company they are fully bonded & you should have no worries about your personal space & possessions.
